Staction Quick Tip: Using hash tags to manage workflow

A few weeks ago we posted about the benefits of using hash tags to help keep track of important pieces of information in your Staction stream. Another little use of the hash tag is to mark the status of your various projects. This can be a godsend for teams that include a project manager.

It works like this: Developers or designers working on the project can simply tag their last update with #finished when they have fully completed their work for that project, then the project manager can easily search for “#finished” to see what work is totally completed. Another helpful project management hash tag is #onhold. If a project is held up for some reason, just post an update with the #onhold hash tag and the reason the project is stuck. The project manager easily collect these issues and take care of them. It’s a simple, high-speed way to keep tabs on the status of your various projects. And because saved views also save search queries – project managers can create custom views for each project related hash tag.
