You Could Do Without, But Why Would You Want To?
You might not need it. Your work will probably still get done without it. But you’re so much better off with it.
File Storage in Paprika.
We first realized the value of file attachments when we added them to Jumpchart, then integrated them into Staction, and by that time we couldn’t help but carry them over to Paprika. It seemed like a perfect fit, after all. The ability to attach images and files to our notes is invaluable, and really helps speed things up. Now… and later. Keep Reading
Everybody Gets a Taste.
We like our file attachment addition to Paprika so much, we thought we’d give everybody a chance to try it out.
So… everybody gets 5MB for free!
Paprika Now Has File Storage.
We’re really excited to bring you our latest upgrade! Now you can attach documents and images to your projects. We think you’ll love being able to keep all your information in one spot.
File storage is the first of our paid features. Get 250 MB of storage, and we’ll throw in an extra ten projects for just $5 per month. Visit your account tab to upgrade now.
For more information on how to attach files in line with the content in your projects, check out our support document.
Keyboard Shortcuts on Paprika.
If you’re anything like us, you reach for the mouse as little as possible. That’s why we added some helpful keyboard shortcuts to Paprika:
Here are some simple ways you can edit and save projects you’re working on:
- When you’re viewing a project, press Cmd+E to quickly get to edit mode.
- Once you’re in edit mode, you can press Cmd+E again to cancel, and go back to viewing your project.
- Alternatively, you can hit Cmd+S to save your changes.
Note: If you’re a Windows user, the same shortcuts apply, just with Ctrl+E, and Ctrl+S.
New Paprika Feature- Project Dropdown Menu.
Our most recent addition to Paprika is a shortcut that could help your day go a little faster. We’ve added a feature that lets you quickly and easily switch between projects- using a simple dropdown menu.
Now, when you hover over the Projects tab at the top, you’ll see a dropdown menu listing five of your most recently accessed projects. Click on one to be taken to that project. If you’re looking for an older project, you can still click the Projects tab to see your full project list. It’s almost as easy as Cmd+Tab, huh?
New Jumpchart Feature: File Attachments on Comments.
You’ve always been able to attach files to a page. You’ve always been able to leave comments on a page. Nothing’s changed there.
We’ve discovered that when people use Jumpchart, they want to go into a little more detail with the comments they make, or a file they upload. Being able to trace files back to their creator/uploader can help cut down on confusion later in the project.
We decided we could help out.
Now you can attach files to your comments. With this new feature, you can connect your name to a file you’ve uploaded to a certain page so everyone knows who added it and where it came from. Or you can use a chart, graph or other image to help get your point across.
We think this new feature will make your Jumpchart experience a little more productive- we hope you like it!
Jumpchart Snippets Go Global.
You already know you can create Snippets- words or phrases you use repeatedly- throughout a Jumpchart project, but we’re introducing a Global Snippets- an upgrade we hope you find really useful.
Now you can create Snippets for use account-wide, improving your workflow by allowing you to access constant bits of information across multiple projects.
In a nutshell:
- When you share a project containing a Regular Snippet, the Snippet is then available to view, use and edit by whomever you share the project with.
- When you share a project containing a Global Snippet, the Snippet is then available to view and use by whomever you share the project with- but not editable by that person. It is only editable by you… and it’s available for you to use across each of your projects.
- You cannot see someone else’s Snippets unless they share their project with you.
For more info on how they work, check out the new support article we’ve added.
Refined Jumpchart Navigation.
One of the best things about Jumpchart is how easy it is to reorder navigation. It makes laying out the structure for a website flexible- not to mention it’s client friendly.
We’ve made a few tweaks, and implemented our recent lucid revelation.
You can now:
Expand and collapse sub-sections, which becomes really crucial and productive when dealing with larger projects.
Use the new visual dots to the left of the nav to more easily denote hierarchal level. Also extremely helpful for larger, more complex projects. Keep Reading
Staction Gets Outside the Browser.
When we built Staction we imagined it as a format and a platform as well as an app. The simple tagging system begs to be extended outside of the bowser.
The first step towards that goal was the Staction API. The second step was built from the first, and we’re very happy to announce it today: The Staction AIR app.
Now Staction can live on your desktop, outside of your browser. The app encompasses all the most important features of the Staction web app, as well as some desktop class features like keyboard shortcuts, and update notifications that we’re very excited for you to try out.
We hope this is only the first of many new ways to access your Staction account via the API. We’re working internally and with outside developers to make sure that we push the Staction experience as far as possible…

New Staction Feature.
Today it’s even easier to find people and projects in Staction. Now search is context specific to the page you’re viewing. Use it to quickly find projects on the projects page, or people on the people page.
