Importing a WordPress XML File Into Your Custom CMS.

Our mission: to make yet another bridge between website planning and website running. A couple of months back we launched a new export format in Jumpchart that allows our users to swoop their project straight into the WordPress CMS. We think it works great, and we got a lot of amazing feedback from our users.

While WordPress is a widely used CMS, unfortunately we don’t use it for most of our own web projects. We have a totally custom built system that we’ve been constantly tweaking and evolving for three years to fit our exact needs — internally, we call it Haydn (after Joseph).

So how were we going to make link between Haydn and Jumpchart? Keep Reading

It’s been 16 months since Jumpchart first launched and, so far, it’s been great. From the very beginning, Jumpchart was blessed by many great reviews and even more exciting to us is that Jumpchart has become such an integral part of so many people’s daily workflow (including our own). But now it’s time to take Jumpchart forward. For the last few months we’ve been working on a major refresh of Jumpchart: Internally, we’ve been using the new version for some time now and we’re really excited about the changes, both in terms of UI efficiency and in terms of the features that we’ve added. While we’re working out the final details and getting ready to send this update out into the world we thought it’d be nice to share some of the finer points of the new Jumpchart. Keep Reading

This morning, at approximately 11:30 am Eastern Time, both Jumpchart and Staction were unavailable for approximately 25 minutes. This was due to a complete outage of our hosting provider, Media Temple. The issue appears to have been caused by a problem at one of their data centers. According to their network status page, they are looking into the problem in detail and will post more details as they become available. Keep Reading
