I like it, it's what I do, or am. It does take a lot of effort to keep up to date in all these fields, but it's worth it. Knowledge is nothing more than connecting ideas and information. Being good at many things makes you prone to be the first to make those connections.

feedback re Paprika:

For any link embedded into a "project" page, the app should target a new/blank window!

Some mechanism is needed to accomplish stylized callouts. Hmm, how to describe what I mean? I wish the app would create a stylized DIV when it encounters the Textile marker for "blockquote" ~~ applying shading and /or border. This is sort of important, in order to offset content being quoted (pasted into a project page).

Because the app does not uploading/attaching images, you might consider including a link to flickr.com or other such hosting site.

Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren't loading correctly. I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.

Right now it looks like Expression Engine is the preferred blogging platform out there right now. (from what I've read) Is that what you're using on your blog?

I spent a few weeks in China some years ago. I had an odd and unexpected feeling of nostalgia while watching this. It gave me this thought about China's growth: the people are so willing.

It also somehow gave me a greater feeling of respect for myself and the many tedious, piecework jobs I have done to keep body and soul together over the years. It's the kind of work that is not respected in this country. It's what we would like to "outsource" - either to another country such as China - or to what we consider another people, i.e. the undocumented workers coming across our southwestern border. Or, yet again, to the "other country" in our midst - the working poor who are (so inexplicably) citizens of the US.

Respect should be inherent in the work one does - self respect and the respect of others, those who benefit from even the smallest of our labors. I saw the word 'tradition' several times in the translation. That was what made me think about all this. A completely different lens through which to view so many small things done well and done willingly.

Thanks for the chance to comment.
