Staction is Live!

Staction

The day has arrived, Staction has launched. First off, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the beta testers that helped us work out the kinks over the last few months. We couldn’t have done it without you guys, so pat yourselves on the back – job well done.

Staction is simple group communication that focuses on people, not projects. It’s a great way to get a birds-eye view of your workflow and because it is organized chronologically it feels much more natural than digging through hierarchical folder structures.

The pricing for Staction is dead simple, just three paying plans and a free one. All three paying plans are based on number of users, disk space and wether or not time tracking is included. Just choose the one that suits your needs and you ready to go. As always, if the free plan fills your needs we’re happy to let you use it as long as you want.

One more thing; we’re going to be offering the same deal as we did when we lauched Jumpchart. If you write a quality blog-post, review or other article about Staction send it to us and we’ll hook you up with a free month on Staction. We’ll continue to honor this through March.

So please, a warm welcome to the world for Staction. (Cue the applause)

Please, PLEASE embed the video tours somewhere…. you just took FF and subsequently IE down on my PC when I tried to watch. I have resorted to downloading them and will then watch… they are downloading at 80-90KB/s… too slow for stream, I guess. Vimeo, please?

Congratulations! This looks like a pretty cool tool, and I can’t wait to give it a shot. I love the music in the videos too. Soothing.

I sent a link to TechCrunch, because they’re always posting about twitter-like tools for business (and how they’re making profits in areas where twitter is failing to.) If you get a story, I hope it doesn’t punish your servers too badly. ;-)

  3. Mark,
Sorry for the trouble, -we added a lower res version of each video to the site. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the email updating me on this.

Started using the app today, and it helped a lot with clearing my desk of todo tasks. I worked on it this morning, and when I went to meet my wife for lunch, I kept thinking of todo items I wanted to add. So….after lunch, I went into the Apple store to try the iTouch, to see if this was a quick way to keep my todo and project items updated. Logging in took awhile as my fingers aren’t used to the itouch keyboard. I tried zooming, and turning sideways. Not great, but that may be user ignorance. I put this out there in case anyone else has used Staction with the itouch/iphone, and has any thoughts on how feasible this app is for the itouch/iphone.

Also, being able to put my incomplete todo’s on igoogle was great. I can easily expand the feed and have all my todo’s sitting there.

Great work folks. Thanks for letting me try it out for free. I’ll continue working on it and expand my use into projects. I’m a project manager by profession, and look forward to evaluating for project teams to use.

    Iain
